Locate the Sensation

Before you can release it, you have to find it. Not the story—the feeling. Where does it live in your body? What does it feel like? Get specific.

Lower the Volume, Don't Silence It

You're not trying to make it go away. You're trying to make it manageable enough to finally feel. Titration, not explosion.

Stay Present Through Completion

Emotions that are actually felt don't last long. They have a natural arc—rise, peak, fade. Most of us interrupt this arc. Here, you let it complete.

Notice What Changes

Something shifts when emotions actually process. Lighter. More space. Different. You'll know it's working because you're carrying less.

Why Talk Therapy Can't Release What Your Body Is Holding
