The sense that I get is that the brain operates more like a satellite dish or receiver than a hard drive. It’s pulling information into the system and we’re tuning to it like some kind of cosmic WiFi network.
This isn’t just metaphor for me. It’s how experience actually feels when I pay attention.
Tuning to Information
If reality is just our ability to tune into information and organize it in a way which makes sense, then there should be a myriad of ways to properly tune to lesser or greater information: chaos vs. order, organization vs. disorganization.
Think about how radio works. The signal is always there. The station is always broadcasting. Your ability to hear it depends entirely on where you set your dial.
The power of your subconscious mind works the same way. It’s not creating information from nothing. It’s tuning to information that already exists in the field around you.
These sacred geometry mind activations from artist Janosh feel important to me right now. Something about the visual patterns seems to adjust my internal dial.
Following the Feeling
I don’t always have a full “why” when it comes to the intuitions I receive, but I know exactly what “this is important, pay attention” feels like in my body. That feeling is something I always follow because I know it’s pointing to something specifically tuned for me and my growth in this moment.
The power of your subconscious mind often speaks through sensation before it speaks through words. You feel the pull before you understand the reason. The understanding comes later, sometimes much later.
Learning to trust that pull is one of the most valuable skills I’ve developed. It requires letting go of the need to explain yourself before you act.
Do you get some kind of feeling when you tune into these activations? Do you just know something in your knower?
If so, this might make an interesting daily practice for you.
Subtle Sensations
There’s a subtle level of sensation which happens when we drink coffee in the morning. It’s like something within us is coming online in the mind. Or when we drink wine, a spread of warmth and allowing moves through the body.
These are chemicals we can easily identify. We understand the mechanism. But the power of your subconscious mind includes sensitivity to influences that don’t come in liquid form.
With these activations, it’s as though some kind of electricity is moving into new areas of my brain. Connecting something physical to something non-physical. Rooting ideas into reality. A current which opens new neural pathways. A tuning.
I can’t prove this to you. I can only report what I experience. And my experience tells me there’s more to consciousness than neurons firing randomly.
Your Experience
The power of your subconscious mind is already working. The question isn’t whether it’s active. The question is what you’re tuning it toward.
Do you feel anything when you sit with this? Does something shift when you let geometric patterns wash over your visual field?
Pay attention to what happens in your body. Not your analysis of what should happen. What actually happens when you stop thinking and start receiving.
That receiver is always on. You’re always tuning to something. The invitation is simply to become more conscious of what you’re letting in.
Godspeed.
