Live a Life of Abundance: Knowing What You Need to Know When You Need It

Abundance is not about having everything. It is knowing what you need to know when you need to know it. That clarity comes from sitting with yourself and transmuting discomfort into creative potential.

From the Vault

I wrote this 2 years, 2 months ago. My thinking has probably evolved—some ideas deepened, others abandoned, a few transformed entirely. For how I'm currently thinking about things, check out what I'm working on today or Bible Mystic.

Found this through Google? You just proved a point I've made often. This post is still working years later—no ad spend, no algorithm games. SEO is the highest-ROI investment any creator can make. I can help you build that.

Listen while you workout, cook, or commute.

We are all both student and master. For anybody further behind on the path, we are the master. We can be wildly beneficial to them by giving them a hand up to where we currently are. Yet at the same time, there is always another mountain, always another peak. We have to humble ourselves enough to recognize that we are never going to get there. It is never going to get done.

That is why it is so important to just figure out how to be present. If you are not doing what you want to do right now, if you are not just in it and aligned right now, there is no point. You are never actually going to get there. The destination keeps moving.

What Abundance Actually Feels Like

Abundance is about expansion. Right time, right place, right people. Seeing signals of things moving in your direction. Having big goals and feeling yourself making progress toward them.

We think we want that end carrot, but actually what we are really aiming for is the progress toward it. That is why when we get the carrot it usually is not as satisfying as we thought. The fun part was the adventure leading to it.

Abundance is that expansive process. An expansion of awareness. Seeing more data points. Having vivid clarity of thought. Being in more flow. Recognizing how much infinite power you have available to wield, and wielding it flawlessly.

This is where abundance becomes natural.

The Selfish Path to Altruism

In order to have infinite power, you have to be a selfish person. But selfish in an altruistic way. Your selfishness is a container that allows you to have enough self-care to fill your own cup. Once your cup is overflowing, you are so much more capable of helping way more people.

A lot of times people out of a sense of duty or obligation or guilt are operating with an empty cup. Then they become resentful of the very people they are trying to help because they did not properly fuel themselves.

The Infinite Pie

We do not live in a world of finite resources. If you believe that, you are still tapped into a narrative that this is a physical tangible touchable place. Really this is an energetic simulation that we are all rendering in our own little bubbles.

The more we focus on our own self-care and feeling every feeling, the more we unpack the antennas that are sensitive to subtle energy. Then we recognize how we can expand and expand our entire world with us. We are growing the entire pie rather than seeing the pie as finite.

Abundance Defined

That feeling of abundance is just knowing what you need to know when you need to know it. It is not hard to figure out the breadcrumb path and go one step at a time.

We can get to that place if we are willing to do the work of sitting with ourselves and letting the discomfort transmute itself into creative potential. That creative potential acts as a satellite dish that calls forth information that serves us. It lights up the breadcrumb path to exactly where we want to be.

Reality is a mirror. If you want to receive from reality, you need to be giving to the mirror. Find ways to be of service. That will create alignment. It will make it easier to sit with yourself on a regular basis. Then life will start to naturally move in your direction.
