How to Work With Full Moon Spiritual Energy

The full moon marks new and awakening energy potential. Go outside and soak up moonlight. Send prayers and intentions riding on infinite wings of light.

From the Vault

I wrote this 9 years, 4 months ago. My thinking has probably evolved—some ideas deepened, others abandoned, a few transformed entirely. For how I'm currently thinking about things, check out what I'm working on today or Jesus Lightning.

Found this through Google? You just proved a point I've made often. This post is still working years later—no ad spend, no algorithm games. SEO is the highest-ROI investment any creator can make. I can help you build that.

Listen while you workout, cook, or commute.

The full moon is a marker for a completely new and awakening energy potential should you choose it. It’s not just celestial decoration. It’s an invitation.

Soak in the Moonlight

I recommend that each of us go outside, even if only for a brief moment, and soak up some of the moonlight. Bask in its beauty, however long.

If you have a partner that you trust and feel safe with, it can be a powerful night to consummate your love in a new revitalizing energy. The full moon amplifies everything, including intimacy.

There’s something about standing under that light that reminds us we’re part of something vast. The same moon that pulled ancient tides pulls something in us too. We just have to be still enough to feel it.

Send Your Prayers on the Light

For those of us who know the power of prayer, we can send our words and newly defined intentions riding out on the infinite wings of the moonlight.

Pray for our planet. For our world population. For our country, our cities, our neighbors. For our enemies, our friends and family, and for those we have yet to meet.

Ask to be shown what you need to be shown and put where you need to be put.

This isn’t about getting something. It’s about alignment. It’s about opening yourself to guidance that’s always available but often drowned out by the noise of daily living.

Charge Your Crystals

Place your crystals out to bathe in the moonlight and then spread them about your house in the morning so that you can enjoy these symbolic energies of shift for weeks and months to come.

Let these energies trigger and awaken the spiral of your DNA and your multidimensional nature. Let them sing to you. Let them speak to you. Let them tell you stories of yore and prophecies of a brilliant tomorrow.

Whether you believe crystals hold energy or simply serve as reminders of intention, the practice matters. Creating ritual around the lunar cycle connects you to rhythms older than human memory.

Return to Childlike Wonder

But more than anything, allow yourself to suspend thought and just stare up in childlike wonder receiving this cosmic beauty and let it penetrate you to your core.

This is the simplest practice. No technique required. Just look up and receive.

We complicate spirituality. We add steps and requirements and conditions. But sometimes the deepest work is just standing still and letting yourself be awed by something magnificent.

Stepping Into Your Role

A new world is always in the making. Those of us carrying this light forward will be the agents of magnificent shift for generations to come.

My prayer is that we each step into our new roles fully and embrace the tremendous responsibility that’s being bestowed upon us. The full moon reminds us of our connection to cycles larger than ourselves.

We aren’t separate from the cosmos. We’re expressions of it.

Each lunar cycle offers another chance to realign. Another invitation to remember what we are. Another moment to release what no longer serves and welcome what’s trying to emerge.

Don’t let this one pass without stepping outside, even just for a moment.

This is the lens the Bible is meant to be read through.
