Your Perception Is Your Reality: Why What You See Is What You Get

Perception is reality because you can only experience what your filters allow through. Change the perception and you change the world you live in.

From the Vault

I wrote this 9 years, 4 months ago. My thinking has probably evolved—some ideas deepened, others abandoned, a few transformed entirely. For how I'm currently thinking about things, check out what I'm working on today or Bible Mystic.

Found this through Google? You just proved a point I've made often. This post is still working years later—no ad spend, no algorithm games. SEO is the highest-ROI investment any creator can make. I can help you build that.

Listen while you workout, cook, or commute.

I like to think about reality like an Xbox Live video game.

The Game Setup

As consciousness, we all say I want to play Earth, so we all put in the Earth disc and then log in to the networked interface.

Now I can see my character on my TV screen and control him, but it is my TV and my electricity powering the TV.

You can see your character on your TV but it is your TV and your electricity powering it.

Rendering Your Reality

We can each interact with the other’s character, but I am rebuilding your character and the entire game with my own electricity and projecting it onto my own TV screen. And you are doing the same with my character.

We are collectively agreeing to participate in a game with a set of rules, but ultimately we are each experiencing our own simulation, our own universe being built and rendered on our own TV, the seat of consciousness.

Multi-Dimensional Nature

We are operating as multi-dimensional beings in a parallel reality construct that allows us to create the illusion of time and have an experience of ourselves through the feedback loop of reality.

Each of us has an infinite number of TVs and characters and potentials logged and available for render into the game because it is just how advanced games need to be at a multidimensional level to be fun.

That means in every moment we all exist as billions of potential behaviors and experiences. We lend our multi-dimensional nature to anyone who wishes to interact with us in the game. They always experience us at the vibration which matches them.

Your Emotional Compass

Your TV and simulation will get the multi-dimensional version of me at the frequency or channel or potential that matches who you currently are. And I will get the version of you that matches me. But I can get any version of anyone that is relevant to the life template I agreed to when we all logged in.

My emotions are a compass which shows me whether I am in congruence with the mission or life template I wanted to explore when we all started the game.

In every billionth of a second the entire game re-renders itself to match the vibrational stance each of us is holding in our consciousness.

Two Perspectives

Reality is a high frame rate hologram of sorts that we are each rendering in every moment on our own TV screen to have the experience of playing Earth.

Objective reality is knowing how things work in-game. Subjective reality is recognizing that the game is being rendered from a higher level of awareness. One is the perspective of the character in the game, the other is the perspective of the consciousness playing Earth on the couch in front of the TV screen.

The key is understanding how to fluently move back and forth between each perspective at will to have the best game experience.
