I feel so powerful. But I didn’t last week.
Last week I was sick, worried, low on energy, uninspired. How did things shift so dramatically?
Using a series of processes for examining unconscious beliefs, I discovered things I was not being honest about with myself and others. That’s embarrassing. But that discomfort is going to happen often as you expand in awareness.
We Don’t Know What We Don’t Know
When you finally have an aha moment and see something you couldn’t see before, it’s your responsibility to integrate and apply that new knowing.
Much of what people consider “good coaching” is simply reminding people to do the thing they already knew they should be doing. We lie to ourselves constantly about what we know and don’t know.
Fear keeps us dishonest with ourselves and others. It’s absolutely paralyzed me many times. The fear of confrontation. The fear of rejection. The fear of being seen as weak or wrong.
These fears run so deep that we don’t even recognize them as fears anymore. They just feel like “the way things are.” We tell ourselves stories about why we can’t speak up, why we can’t make the change, why now isn’t the right time.
The Cost of Self-Deception
Every lie we tell ourselves costs energy. It takes effort to maintain a false narrative. It takes even more effort to avoid the truth that keeps trying to surface.
That exhaustion you feel? Some of it comes from the work you’re doing. But a lot of it comes from the work you’re avoiding. The conversations you won’t have. The decisions you won’t make. The truths you won’t face.
The body knows when you’re out of alignment. It signals you with fatigue, with illness, with that nagging feeling that something isn’t right. We often treat these symptoms while ignoring their cause.
When You Stop Lying to Yourself
But an interesting thing happens when I begin to act on the truths I know in my heart to be right: power fills me.
When I stop lying to myself and others and tell the truth no matter how uncomfortable that truth feels, I experience ascension. Energy returns. Clarity appears. The fog lifts.
It’s like putting down a heavy backpack you forgot you were carrying. Suddenly you can move freely. Suddenly you can breathe.
What lie are you telling yourself and others? What truth are you protecting yourself from? What would change if you stopped pretending?
The Prayer
Will you pray for the courage to live an honest life?
“God, I’m terrified. So terrified that I don’t even know what I’m afraid of. Show me. Guide me. Reveal your truth. Set me free.”
God doesn’t speak in words. God puts feelings on our hearts. Feel every feeling, no matter how uncomfortable, and thrive.
The answers you’re looking for aren’t hidden from you. They’re hidden in the places you refuse to look. In the feelings you refuse to feel. In the truths you refuse to speak.
This is shadow work in action.

Godspeed
The power you’re looking for is on the other side of the truth you’re avoiding. Stop lying to yourself. Feel the discomfort. Watch what fills the space.
Your energy will return. Your clarity will sharpen. Your life will realign. Not because you did something magical, but because you finally stopped doing the thing that was draining you all along.
