In 2007, I was fascinated by lifecasting. People strapping cameras to themselves and broadcasting their lives around the clock. It seemed like the future of authenticity.
Now I understand something different: performance is a computational waste. And living in the present moment is the only way to stop paying that cost.
What Performance Actually Costs
Think about how much extra energy is required when you’re telling lies. Even small white lies. Even lies you’ve deluded yourself into thinking aren’t lies. It’s an incredible computational waste.
When you’re performing, you’re caught in some mental image of past or future that prevents you from being present, from receiving divine inspiration. You have to be present to bring forth the most optimal idea, to bring forth something entirely new. Otherwise, you’re just relying on intellect and your physical brain’s limited power.
Living in the present moment changes this equation entirely.
The Network Reward System
When we become what I call quantum receivers, efficient nodes in the consciousness network, we’re rewarded with brilliant ideas and the energy and motivation to implement them one step at a time.
Being real means being humble and radically honest about what our true experiences and feelings are, stripped of all intellectual compartmentalization and pretext.
Humility is our actual willingness and desire to feel every feeling fully.
What Blocks the Rewards
When we can do that, we always end up right where we can be most optimal, most effective, most valuable. It’s when we don’t fully experience from the present moment, when we defer feelings with substances, coffee, addictions, that we reduce the rewards that would otherwise be available to us.
When we live in past or future and avoid the present moment with emotional addictions, we’re essentially becoming a less effective node in the network. And therefore, rewards go down.
The Balloon Person Pattern
There’s a pattern I call the “balloon person.” Someone who uses mental techniques to inflate a persona that looks good from the outside but is hollow underneath. All the old trauma and bypassed emotion still lives on the outside of that balloon. The actual soul condition hasn’t changed. They’ve just created a buffer between themselves and their real feelings.
If they stop doing their mental practices long enough, the balloon deflates. All those emotions they lifted off map back onto their nervous system. And they realize their vibration was temporary. Nothing actually healed.
Lifecasting was the external version of this. Broadcasting a curated version of yourself 24/7 instead of actually living in the present moment.
What Flow Actually Is
When we live in the present moment, feel every feeling fully, and express authentically, we’re just much more energy efficient. This gets called miracle or healing or genius or flow, but it’s really just being an effective node in the network. One that is properly processing and distributing energy instead of hoarding it.
The lifecasters who burned out were the ones who couldn’t stop performing. They were wasting computational energy maintaining an image instead of just being present.
The ones who lasted figured out how to just be themselves on camera. Which is really just being themselves, period. The camera became irrelevant because they stopped editing for it.
This is the lens the Bible is meant to be read through.

People don’t want perfection anyway. They want authentic expression and progression. They want to see people fail out loud and grow in the process.
The camera was never the point. Presence was.
