Jon – any rubber you get at a giveaway is generally not going to be of a quality that you’re going to want to rely on. For example, in an ironic twist, the worst condoms you can get are the free ones that you get from Planned Parenthood.

The freebies are a great promotional tool, but generally are bad when… put into practice. I have to wonder about the liability issue there, too…

@Justin – I have to find me some of these eggs. That would be a great way to get your brand in front of me, as I’m like Gaston in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast – “Now that I’m a man, I eat 12 dozen eggs and I’m roughly the size of a barge!”

@Mollena – Yeah, but you’ve got to admit it’d be pretty funny and even though the times I’ve laughed through sex haven’t always been the best, they are certainly one’s I’ll never forget.

@Miss Gacy – The thumbs up addition to the above artist rendering of me is definitely the icing on the cake. Going back to the drawing room as we speak…

This has been going on for a while – I remember promoting “The 40 Year Old Virgin” and getting a number of them to pass out. However, they had the negative effect where I hoarded them all to myself because they were so cool.

Never used any of them, I’m sure they’re expired by now, sadly.

I’d imagine if it were good or bad for your personal brand would probably depend on the values of your personal brand.. I’d imagine if you’re brand shares the values of say… Dirty Harry.. or something.. that might be a pretty good mix.. anything with a good macho bent to it.. on the other hand.. I could see something excessively queer being fun to!

I think the notion of using condoms for marketing is just toooo much fun to pass up..

God, wouldn’t Buddy Christ, from Kevin Smith.. make for an awesome thing to put on a condom?

If indie bands put there likeness on them.. it would be a fun spin to the plaster casters…

downright spooky!
if i was trying to get it on with a dude and i realized he had custom condoms with his face on it, the only way i could feasibly continue is if it was grinning and giving me the thumbs up.

then i might consider it, but only after i’m done laughing and he’s done explaining why he decided to spend money on those things.

If i went to grab a condom and dude’s face was on it smiling up at me as I was gong to break that sucker open, I’d hand it back to him and let him know that if he dug himself that much, he’d have a better time with himself than with me.

I think that it is certainly a new perspective. The question is really more if you want your face crammed in between the two while they’re in ‘intimacy time’…

I thought printing prime time TV ads on eggs was a little far, personally, so I’m not necessarily for these puppies either…
